Jisun Lee is recognized for integrating virtual reality (VR), augmented reality (AR), and generative artificial intelligence (AI) across three interior design courses, embedding emerging technologies directly into the core design process. Through this unified workflow, students use AI-generated imagery to explore concepts, translate ideas into immersive 3D models, and evaluate and refine their designs within VR and AR environments. From early-stage inspiration and visual communication to advanced mixed‑reality simulations and capstone‑level immersive presentations, Lee’s approach enables students to assess user needs, enhance experiential quality, and improve accessibility while developing strong design intent, ethical awareness, and technology‑driven design expertise.
